Located 300 kms from Bangalore city on the Bangalore Mangalore road. Situated in between Hassan, Coorg and Dakshin Kannada dist. At the base there is a well known pilgrimage temple known as "Kukke Subramanya",the place is known by its temple, the temple is dedicated to Lord Subramanyeshwara.
It is known as the state's most challenging trek, as the trek is just 10km from the base to the top, the hill rises at the height of 6,000ftht. It lies under Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. The nestled between the three districts of Coorg, Dakshin Kannada and Hasan.
The panoramic views, the songs of the birds, the rays of the sun trying to peep through the trees, Time tiptoes gently here. Moreover, as you take a walk down an inviting mountain trail, you find yourself laughing aloud - with the sheer joy of living a fulfilled life! But that's what Kumaraparvath does to you. The middle portion of the trek you can find a house known as "Girigadde", where our ancient priest lives here called as Bhat's. This place is the final point of civilisation, three km from here there is a famous stone mantap, the trek is quite moderate from here to reach top.
